Sensei Jason LeClair began training in Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan karate in September of 2001 in Paso Robles CA under Kyoshi David Rogers, an internationally ranked 7th dan in karate and 6th dan in kobudo. Sensei Jason is currently a 4th degree black belt in Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan Karate, and 2nd degree black belt in kobudo, ancient weapons. Sensei Jason retired in 2019 after working 20 years as police officer on California’s Central Coast. Sensei Jason served for years on the Critical Response Unit where he performed riot control and dignitary protection. Sensei Jason also spent many years as a certified defensive tactics instructor to many law enforcement officers.
