Welcome to Young Forest Karate

Young Forest Karate has humble beginnings. Sensei Jason LeClair moved from California to Hawkins Texas in June of 2019. In July of 2019 he rented the Community Center in Hawkins Texas for two nights per week to teach karate. That was the beginning of Young Forest Karate. Sensei Jason has taught many students over the years but in 2024 he knew it was time to find a permanent home for YFK and found that home in Big Sandy, Texas. We are a small, traditional Karate dojo. Our instruction is similar to that of what a student would receive if they were to travel to Okinawa, the birthplace of Karate, to train.
